AMSA Press Room

AMSA’s Core Purpose:

AMSA fosters a community of aspiring physicians through education and advocacy.

For over 60 years, the American Medical Student Association has been dedicated to enhancing medical education and shaping the future of medicine. Its members—medical and premedical students, residents, and practicing physicians—are the next generation of physician leaders. They share a belief that health professionals and patients work together in managing and maintaining health and that access to high-quality health care is a fundamental right, not a privilege.
